CalPERS Air Time Likely to Rise - Act Now

CalPERS airtime (i.e., service credit at present value) purchases may be going up 5-13% (or more) Friday 3/15. If our members submit a request for a cost estimate before Friday they will get the current price. A cost estimate does not lock them in to buying the air time, so even if they are not sure about making the purchase they should mail it in. It takes CalPERS months to get the air time purchase paperwork back you and then you would have 60 days to submit the paperwork back to CalPERS.

I think if the request for the cost estimate is postmarked by 3/14 they should be good to go, but someone may want to call CalPERS and confirm this.
